Chousoku Henkei Gyrozetter is an multimedia franchise created by Square Enixnote ,consisting of an arcade game, a manga series written by Ryutaro Ichmura and illustrated by Teruaki Mizuno, and an anime series by A-1 Pictures on the Fall 2012 Anime lineup.Taking place in the futuristic New Yokohama City, Japan, where the car industry has been revolutionized by “A.I. Cars”, outfitted with… Artificial Intelligence. Schools exist for the purpose of teaching children to drive these A.I. cars, such as Arcadia Academy founded by the Arcadia company, the makers of A.I. Cars. Kakeru Todoroki is a fifth grader in Arcadia Academy who finds one day that he has been chosen to pilot the transforming A.I. Car also known as a “Gyrozetter”. To defeat Xenon, an evil organization bent on world domination, Kakeru must find the other chosen drivers foretold on the artifact called Rossetagraphy.A Racing/Action RPG video game, titled Chousoku Henkei Gyrozetter : Albaross no Tsubasanote was released for the Nintendo 3DS in 2013, loosely based on the episode in the anime, in which Kakeru and Rinne end up trapped in 2053, where they find new friends and an even bigger Big Bad, a mysterious Gyrozetter known as “Albaross”.
